Lang Lang's improvisation skills
Lang Lang is a gifted improvisor too. When he took my son on his lap to show him a tune or two at the piano (see my photo in the photo gallery) - this was after a master class session a few years ago that I went to - he started with Mozart's C major sonata... of course! But then he pearled away across Chopin, Beethoven and Debussy effortlessly modulating around to work in each change of repertoire. And a few years later my son took up the piano. What more can I ask for!
